Many a time when we bye extra RAM for the laptop we get confuse how to install RAM in the laptop, installing memory in the desktop PC are very much easy than installing the memory in the laptop. There is procedure that you should follow while installing the memory in the laptop.
1. Turn off the laptop and remove the power cords and other connection from the laptop.
2. See the bottom panel of the laptop to access the memory panel for installing the memory modules.
3. Once you find the access panel for installing the memory. Open all the screws from the panel and place them in the safe place.
4. Remove the panel safely and keep aside.
5. If you want to upgrade the existing memory modules or want to add new memory module see the frequency of each memory module if you are adding two memory module in the two slot, both should have the same frequency.
6. For changing the memory module remove the existing modules by removing the clamps and softly left the edge of the memory module to 45 degree angle and then pull the memory out of the slot.
7. After removing the existing memory, insert the new memory in the slot and align the notch with the memory module.
8. After you insert the new memory in the slot, press the slot down until the clamp lock the memory module in its place.
9. Then fit the memory panel back to the laptop and screw the panel to hold it in the place.
10. Once you finish fitting the panel. Connect the power cord and on your laptop.
11. When the pc is turn on go to the BIOS and see the newly installed memory. Once the memory is detected by the system it will show you the memory details, now your laptop is updated with the new memory.
