How to increase the life of your laptop?

• Make sure you use an electrical surge protector for your laptop so that there should be no electrical effect on your laptop that may corrupt or damage your laptop.

• Do not keep the laptop in the very cold environment for a long time, because when you bring the laptop in the warm environment for working it builds up a condensation on the circuit that may cause the laptop to short itself.

• Avoid placing the laptop in the heating environment like near the motor, Mixer grinder, heavy machines that may affect or overheat the laptop.

• Do purchase any cheap or fake carrying case for your laptop, always buy a good quality carrying case for the laptop protection. There are always situation like dropping and hitting the laptop while you are traveling. Therefore the quality of the laptop bag should be best to avoid damages and scratches to the laptop.

• Many of us having the habit of drinking the cup of tea or coffee while working on the laptop. There are chances the coffee or tea spill on the laptop and it results in replacement of the laptop. Therefore always make sure do not drink the tea or coffee while working on the laptop or make sure the cup has a wide bottom that is kept aside from the computer, so there will be no risk of falling the tea or coffee on the laptop.

• Do not work hard on the laptop as the laptop has very sensitive keys that may get damage by pressing the keys hardly. Also laptop has very small parts that are placed and arrange in the very small area that may be damage. Use your laptop gently for its longer life and durability

 

How to secure your data in the laptop?

Many a time when you are connecting to a wireless internet, there may chances of getting your information or data steal by any unauthorized user. You have to make sure all your data is secure while transferring it over the internet, always have firewall installed in your laptop and keep its setting to restrictive. Also turn off the file sharing and other services like the FTP. When you leave your laptops for some time have a login and password to the laptop to avoid unauthorized access.

Also, keep your important data in the encrypting format on the disk if in case of theft. Keeping your data in the encryption format will not allow your data to be readable. While you are transferring any data over the internet you can encrypt your data to keep it secure.

 

How to install RAM in the laptop?

Many a time when we bye extra RAM for the laptop we get confuse how to install RAM in the laptop, installing memory in the desktop PC are very much easy than installing the memory in the laptop. There is procedure that you should follow while installing the memory in the laptop.

1. Turn off the laptop and remove the power cords and other connection from the laptop.

2. See the bottom panel of the laptop to access the memory panel for installing the memory modules.

3. Once you find the access panel for installing the memory. Open all the screws from the panel and place them in the safe place.

4. Remove the panel safely and keep aside.

5. If you want to upgrade the existing memory modules or want to add new memory module see the frequency of each memory module if you are adding two memory module in the two slot, both should have the same frequency.

6. For changing the memory module remove the existing modules by removing the clamps and softly left the edge of the memory module to 45 degree angle and then pull the memory out of the slot.

7. After removing the existing memory, insert the new memory in the slot and align the notch with the memory module.

8. After you insert the new memory in the slot, press the slot down until the clamp lock the memory module in its place.

9. Then fit the memory panel back to the laptop and screw the panel to hold it in the place.

10. Once you finish fitting the panel. Connect the power cord and on your laptop.

11. When the pc is turn on go to the BIOS and see the newly installed memory. Once the memory is detected by the system it will show you the memory details, now your laptop is updated with the new memory.
